• Saturday, Aug 21^st - “Meet & Greet” @ Treats Unleashed in St. Peters scheduled for for roughly the hours of 9am to 2pm.  This is primarily a way of getting some more exposure for our sport and our club in the community.  If you would like to help out by working a shift, please send an email to gatewaydockdogs@gmail.com.  The address of that location is 310 Mid Rivers Mall Drive.

• Sunday, Aug 29^th - Members-Only Practice and General Meeting planned for  @ Canine Country.  Practice beginning @ 9am, with General Meeting to follow, starting around 11am.  The club will be supplying hot dogs, etc. for lunch.  Please bring your own non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.  We will be nominating candidates for these positions: Vice-President, Treasurer, Administrator (2-yr terms), and 2 Board Members (1yr terms).  Please consider running, and/or bring your nominations to the meeting.  If you can’t attend, but would like to run for an office, send an email to gatewaydockdogs@gmail.com.
• Saturday, Sept 11^th  “Pool Paws Dog Swim” – 11am to 2pm - @ Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center in Civic Park, O’Fallon, MO.  FUN event!  Swim with your dog(s)!  $10/dog (1 or 2 people, $3 ea. addl. person).  Proceeds benefit the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation.  Must bring written proof of rabies vaccination.  Register the day of the event or in advance @ www.renaudspiritcenter.com, 636-474-2REC, or in person @ the Renaud Spirit Center.  This is not an official Gateway DockDogs event, but we could certainly attend as representatives of our club and wear our club apparel. 
• Sunday, Sept 19^th Practice @ Canine Country – Advanced 9-11am – Beginners 11am-1pm.  RSVP gatewaydockdogs@gmail.com to reserve your spot in the practice time. Reminder to bring water for you and your dog, sunscreen, chair, leach.  Limit 15 dog handler teams per session.

  • MoKan DockDogs event in Blue Springs, MO  - “Fall Fun Festival” – Sept 17, 18, 19.   Online registration is currently open and closes Sept 14^th.
  • Heartland DockDogs event in Carterville, IL – “Southern Illinois Hunting & Fishing Days” - Sept 24, 25, 26.  Online registration is currently open and closes Sept 21^st.

• Oct 15 - 17 - Nationals will be in Dubuque, Iowa Who’s going?  The Club would like to have some idea of how many of us are planning on going.  Please send an email to gatewaydockdogs@gmail.com with your intended plans

• Jan 8, 2011 - Year-End Banquet Get together your dockdogs pictures and videos that you would like to have shared at the banquet and send them to gatewaydockdogs@gmail.com .  Also start collecting items for the silent auction(s).
